Does Roadie 2 work on instruments besides the guitar?

Modified on Sat, 13 Feb, 2021 at 12:17 AM

Absolutely! Roadie 2 supports guitars with any number of strings (6, 7, 12, etc) and styles from electric and acoustic, to classical and steel. It also supports the ukulele, banjo, mandolin and any instrument with guitar machine heads fitted with string of gauge up to 75. Other instruments that can be tuned with Roadie 2 include the hammered dulcimer, Chapman stick, and Bajo Sexto.

Roadie 2 does not work on Bass Guitar or instruments with a string gauge above 75 as it requires more torque (bigger motor) to rotate their machine heads. Check Roadie Bass for tuning Bass guitars or other instruments with a string gauge up to 140.

Roadie 2 is unable to tune any instruments equipped with wooden friction pegs (such as the violin and viola). If you install planetary pegs on those instruments, Roadie will work normally.
