Why Roadie 3 cannot tune my ukulele?

Modified on Fri, 2 Apr, 2021 at 9:26 AM

There are two common issues that Roadie users should pay attention to when using Roadie 3 to tune a ukulele.

Instrument type:

When adding a new ukulele instrument on your Roadie, you'll find 3 types you can choose from:

Standard Ukulele, Low-G Ukulele, and Baritone Ukulele.

Please make sure that you select the correct type. For example, if you have a Concert Ukulele or a Tenor Ukulele with a high G installed, then please select "Standard Ukulele" as a type. If you have a Tenor Ukulele with low G installed then please select "Low-G Ukulele" type.

Tuning Pegs:

Roadie 3 cannot tune friction-based pegs similar to these:

Roadie 3 only works with guitar-like geared pegs similar to these:

For this reason, please be sure that your ukulele has guitar-like geared pegs. If you are unsure please send us a picture of the tuning pegs and we will let you know whether this might be the case.
