Attaching Roadie Coach to a roundback guitar or thin instruments like ukulele or electric guitars

Modified on Fri, 11 Aug, 2023 at 3:52 PM

Roadie Coach comes with a ball-head pad specifically designed to support round-back instruments such as Ovation guitars. This pad is also useful in case your instrument is thin (electric guitar or ukulele) and the flat pad on a small clamp are not enough to hold Coach in place.

To install the ball-head pad onto the clamp you would like to use, follow these steps or watch the tutorial video below:

  • Select the most appropriate clamp size for your instrument based on its width
  • If a flat pad is already attached to that clamp, use a flathead screwdriver to remove it
  • Attach the ball-head pad to the inside of the clamp and use the plastic cap to screw it in place
  • Peel off the protective film layer from the ball-head pad to uncover its adhesive surface
  • Ensure the latch on the Roadie Coach is in the unlocked position and insert the clamp to the desired length
  • Position Coach over your instrument, leaving a 1mm gap for easy closure of the latch
  • Secure the clamp by closing the latch
